Description

The DR-05 is a pocket-sized two-channel recorder with a pair of built-in omnidirectional condenser microphones designed for loud sources, handling up to 125dB SPL. It records WAV/BWF at 44.1, 48 or 96kHz with 16 or 24-bit depth, or MP3 at 32 to 320kbps, to microSD or microSDHC media. A 4GB card is supplied.

Recording tools include peak reduction that sets the level automatically, a three-step low cut filter (40/80/120Hz), a pre-record buffer of up to 2 seconds, self timer, track increment, automatic file splitting at a maximum size and up to 99 marks per track. For practice, it offers playback speed change from 0.5 to 1.5 times, loop playback, jump-back play, an equalizer, a playlist function and a chromatic tuner.

A 3.5mm stereo mini jack accepts an external microphone with plug-in power or a line source, and a second mini jack serves as headphone or line output. A mono 0.3W speaker is built in. It connects to a computer over USB 2.0 via a Mini-B port and runs on two AA batteries, USB bus power or an optional AC adapter.
