DR-03
The DR-03 is a compact handheld recorder with a built-in stereo omni condenser microphone that records to microSD cards. It suits musicians, students and field recordists who want a simple portable way to capture rehearsals, lectures or ideas. It has been discontinued and replaced by the DR-05XP.

The DR-03 is a pocket-sized solid-state recorder built around a stereo omni condenser microphone pair. It records WAV files at up to 48 kHz/24-bit or MP3 files to microSD media, and a 2 GB microSD card is supplied with it. A 96x96 backlit LCD shows operating status.
Input handling includes a limiter, a low cut filter and automatic gain control. An auto-record function starts recording once the input level passes a set reference level. For review, Variable Speed Audition slows down or speeds up playback without changing pitch, and a loop playback mode repeats a chosen passage, which helps with practising or transcribing. A built-in speaker allows checking takes without headphones, and a desktop stand is built in.
The unit has a 1/8" stereo mic/line input for an external source and a 1/8" stereo headphone output. Files are moved to a computer over USB 2.0. Power comes from two AAA batteries or from USB bus power. The maker publishes a tested media list covering microSD and microSDHC cards from several brands.
