The DP-24 is a digital Portastudio that records and plays back 24 tracks at 24-bit resolution on SD cards from 512MB up to SDHC 32GB. It has eight inputs (A-H) that accept balanced XLR or 6.3mm TRS connections. Input H can be switched to a guitar setting with a high-impedance input, so an instrument can be plugged in directly.
Outputs include unbalanced RCA stereo outs, 6.3mm effect sends, a balanced 6.3mm TRS monitor output and a stereo headphone jack rated at 70mW + 70mW into 32 ohms. Audio performance is rated at 20Hz to 20kHz (±1dB), with a signal-to-noise ratio of 90dB or better and distortion of 0.01% or less.
For connectivity, the unit has DIN 5-pin MIDI in and out, a USB 2.0 High-Speed port that works as a mass-storage device for moving files to a computer, and a 2.5mm remote jack. It runs from a dedicated AC adapter. The last listed firmware is V1.22, which fixed a problem loading songs created on a DP-32SD.
