The CD-RW900 records to and plays back audio CDs in a 2U rack chassis. On CD audio discs it provides pitch control of ±16% in 0.1% steps and a Key Original function that changes playback speed without altering pitch. It also plays MP3 files and shows CD Text and MP3 ID3 tag information.
Recording tools include separate analog input level controls, digital input level control, fade in and fade out, and automatic track increment by level with a trim function. An automatic sample rate converter brings incoming material to 44.1kHz and can be switched off. CD-RW discs can be un-finalized. Playback modes cover all, single, program, random and repeat play, and a power-on play function starts a disc when power is applied, which suits fixed installations.
Connections are unbalanced RCA analog inputs and outputs and coaxial and optical S/PDIF digital inputs and outputs. A PS/2 keyboard input is provided for text entry, and a wireless remote control is included in the feature list.
