The CD-GT2 plays CD-DA, CD-R and CD-RW discs, 8 cm and 12 cm, and is built around practice tools. Its speed control slows playback by up to 50% or speeds it by up to 16% without changing pitch. Key can be shifted by up to 6 semitones in either direction, with a fine tune of 50 cents. A guitar canceller reduces the guitar part, with a selectable pan point and frequency range.
For learning parts, the unit offers single, all and seamless IN-OUT loops, plus a Flash Back function that jumps back up to 5 seconds. It also includes a chromatic tuner with calibration from 435 to 445 Hz, a three-octave tone oscillator and a metronome from 40 to 220 BPM. A 128 x 64 dot matrix LCD shows CD-Text titles, elapsed or remaining time and level meters.
A 1/4" input takes a guitar or microphone, and the CD can be monitored in mono or split against the input signal. Outputs are a 1/8" stereo line output and a 1/8" stereo headphone output. A foot switch connector allows control of five functions. Power comes from four AA batteries or the optional PS-P520 adapter.
