CD-DJ1

The CD-DJ1 is a tabletop player for audio CDs and MP3 discs aimed at working DJs. Its housing is notably small and low, so it takes far less room in a bag or booth than a conventional tabletop CD player. The maker has discontinued it.

Performance functions include seamless looping, two hot starts and Key Original, which keeps the pitch of a track steady when its tempo is changed. Anti-shock memory protects playback, and the player reads CD Text on audio discs as well as ID3 tags on MP3 files, so track information can be shown.

A dedicated TT-M1 "Turntable Magic" connector lets the player work with the TASCAM TT-M1 CD/MP3 Scratch Controller. With that unit attached, an existing turntable and ordinary vinyl records can be used to mix and scratch MP3 and CD audio, with no special audio hookups, coded vinyl or computer needed.
