CD-200iB

The CD-200iB combines a CD player and a dock for Apple iPod players in one rack-mountable unit. The disc section is built around the TEAC CD-5020A transport, which has a loading drawer and low clamping noise, and an internal clock intended to reduce jitter. It plays CD-DA discs as well as MP3 and WAV files on data discs, and shows CD Text and ID3 tag information.

A sliding drawer exposes the dock connector for an iPod. The iPod can be operated from the front panel or the supplied wireless remote, including transport control and album navigation, and it charges while docked. The folder buttons switch folders on discs and albums on the iPod. Playback modes include continuous, shuffle and program, with single, all and folder repeat, intro check and pitch control of plus or minus 14 percent for CDs.

Both CD and iPod audio are available on balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA outputs. The CD player also has coaxial and optical S/PDIF digital outputs. iPod video is output through composite and S-video jacks, and a stereo mini jack input accepts another music player. The CD-200i is a related model without the XLR balanced outputs.
