The CD-200i plays audio CDs as well as discs holding MP3 or WAV files, and reads CD TEXT and ID3 tag information. Playback options include Continue, Random and Program modes, Repeat All and Repeat Single, and Index Search. A memory buffer guards against shock and skipping, and pitch can be adjusted by ±12% on the analog outputs only.
A dock connector on the front charges an Apple iPod and plays its music through the unit. Video from an iPod can be output over S-video or composite connections.
Outputs consist of RCA unbalanced line outputs for both the CD and the iPod, coaxial and optical S/PDIF digital outputs for the CD only, and a 1/4" stereo headphone output. The chassis is 2U and fits a standard 19" rack. A wireless 55-key remote control is used for operation.
