CC-222SL

The CC-222SL combines a CD recorder and a cassette deck in one unit. The CD side uses a slot-loading transport and accepts CD-R, CD-RW, CD-R-DA and CD-RW-DA discs, including high-speed recording media, and can also play MP3 files. It can erase or un-finalize CD-RW discs and offers several playback modes, fade in and out, power-on play and automatic track increment, triggered either by the S/PDIF signal or by audio level.

The cassette deck provides Dolby B noise reduction, auto reverse, a return-to-zero function and a ±10% pitch control. The two decks can work as separate recorders, play continuously from cassette to CD, or dub in either direction (cassette to CD-R/RW and the reverse). A RIAA phono input allows a turntable to be recorded straight to disc or tape. CD and cassette have independent, selectable outputs.

Connections consist of unbalanced RCA analog inputs and outputs, coaxial and optical digital I/O for the CD section, and a headphone output with level control. Digital input volume control and a sampling rate converter (32 kHz, 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz) are fitted, along with a 24-bit AD/DA converter and dedicated analog input level controls. The RC-222 wireless remote is included. The model is listed as discontinued.
