CC-222MKIII

The CC-222MKIII pairs a CD recorder with a reversible cassette deck in one 3U rack unit. It can run as two independent recorders or record a single source to both media at once. A dedicated RIAA phono input allows a turntable to be recorded directly, and the analog inputs and outputs are unbalanced RCA with dedicated input level controls.

This generation adds MP3 file playback with navigation through directories, power-on play for installed applications, an optical digital output and a Time Track Increment function. That function writes a CD track ID every 1 to 10 minutes, which suits long event or service recordings. Track markers can also be added automatically when the signal level drops, or manually with the record button. Fade in and fade out recording is available, and an automatic sample rate converter to 44.1 kHz can be switched off.

The cassette deck offers Dolby noise reduction, pitch control of ±12%, a return-to-zero function and continuous play between cassette and CD. The CD section has coaxial and optical S/PDIF connections, and a headphone output with level control is fitted. Play modes include all, single, program, random and repeat. The RC-222 wireless remote is supplied.
