CC-222MKII

The CC-222mkII combines a CD recorder and a cassette deck in one unit. Each deck has its own unbalanced RCA analog inputs and outputs, so one can play back while the other records, or both can be run in sequence for continuous play. The CD recorder works with professional and consumer CD-R and CD-RW discs and uses a computer-type CD-RW drive mechanism.

The cassette side is bi-directional and offers Dolby B noise reduction, a record mute function and a ±12% pitch control for playback and recording. The CD side has Sync One and Sync All record modes, adjustable Auto ID sensitivity, shuffle and program play, and a timer play function that starts the CD deck when the unit is powered on. Compared with the original CC-222, this revision adds 24-bit conversion, a digital attenuator on the analog inputs and digital copies without restrictions.

For connections, the CD recorder has SPDIF coaxial and optical digital I/O. A phono input with built-in RIAA equalisation lets a turntable be connected directly for making CD or tape copies of records. A headphone output with level control and an RC-222 wireless remote are included. The unit has been discontinued.
