The BD-MP4K plays 4K UHD BD, BD, DVD and CD-DA discs and reads video, audio and picture files from SD cards, USB flash memory and a Samba (NAS) server. File systems up to exFAT and NTFS are supported on removable media. Playback features include power-on play, seamless repeat by chapter, title or A-B, resume from the last position, and a hide-menu function. Panel, IR remote and tray lock functions help prevent unwanted operation in public installations.
Video goes out over HDMI 2.0 at up to 2160p, with a separate HDMI 1.4 output used for audio only. Audio is available on balanced XLR stereo outputs, unbalanced RCA stereo, an RCA 7.1-channel set and a coaxial S/PDIF digital output, with output volume adjustable from 0 dB to -40 dB.
For integration, the player has a Gigabit Ethernet port and an RS-232C port for external control, alongside the supplied IR remote. A rear USB 3.0 port, a metal enclosure and rack ears for a 1U rack are included. The model is listed as discontinued.
