The BD-MP1 plays Blu-ray, DVD and CD discs, and also reads video, still image and audio files from SD/SDHC cards and USB memory. Disc types include BDMV, BDAV, DVD-Video, DVD-VR and AVCHD, and file support covers formats such as MKV, MP4, MOV, WAV, FLAC and MP3.
Operating functions are geared to unattended and installed use: power-on play, seamless repeat by chapter, title or A-B section, resume, and panel, IR and tray locks. A hide-menu function shows only the main content on screen. The audio output level can be adjusted from 0 dB to -40 dB.
Video goes out over HDMI. Audio is available on two balanced XLR outputs, an unbalanced RCA stereo pair, eight RCA jacks for 7.1ch, and a coaxial S/PDIF digital output. A rear LAN port and an RS-232C port allow external control, and USB memory ports sit on both front and rear panels. The unit has a metal casing, ships with an IR remote and a rack-mount kit, and is discontinued.
