A 6.5-inch coaxial in-ceiling loudspeaker with a 30 W line transformer, intended for background and foreground music and speech systems in restaurants, hotels, houses of worship and businesses. It carries EN 54-24 and UL certifications for fire-safety installations.

The CVS 601X is a coaxial ceiling speaker built around a 165 mm (6.5") polypropylene full-range driver with a 0.75" ferrofluid-cooled soft dome tweeter. The cone is mineral-loaded polypropylene with a butyl rubber surround. It is aimed at installs that need both music and speech reproduction, such as restaurants, hotels, worship spaces and general commercial premises.
The front is UV and weather resistant ABS rated UL 94-V0 and 94-5VB, fitted to a plated steel fire can, with a powder-coated aluminium mesh grille for dust protection. The finish is semi-matt white. The speaker holds EN 54-24 certification for fire detection and alarm systems, UL 1480 for fire-protected signalling systems and UL 2043 for air-handling spaces.
It ships with a zinc-plated steel back can that includes a recessed termination box. Wiring goes through a removable locking connector with screw terminals and loop-through. A steel cover and strain relief clamp are supplied for fire-rated cabling. A 30 W line transformer with an accessible tapping switch is built in. Security toggle clamps, two tile support rails and one C-ring are included; a plaster (mud) ring is an optional accessory.
