AMS 6DC

The AMS 6DC is a full-range surface-mount speaker built around a 6-inch dual concentric point-source driver with Omnimagnet technology, fitted to a Torus Ogive Waveguide. The design aims at wide, even directivity and clear speech and music, and it is intended for stereo or mono background and foreground sound in venues such as theme parks, hotels, bars, shops, corporate AV spaces, residential developments and places of worship. It can share a multi-zone system with ceiling and wall mounted Tannoy speakers.

The enclosure is moulded from heat-resistant ABS with a semi-matt black painted finish and a matching grille. It carries an IP65 rating, so it can be used in damp or dusty indoor areas such as swimming pools and health suites, and outdoors where the weather is moderate. A colour-matched yoke bracket is supplied for mounting, and a VARIBALL multi-angle bracket is available as an optional extra.

Connections are made through Phoenix input and link output connectors, protected by a supplied weatherproof cable gland. An integral low-insertion-loss 60 W transformer with tap switching allows use on transformer-based lines. The speaker is optimised for LAB GRUPPEN LUCIA amplifiers, which can drive up to 8 AMS Series speakers per channel.
