Eurorack voice module using Karplus-Strong synthesis to produce plucked or bowed strings, pipes and percussive textures. It has separate Solo and Chord voices and suits modular players who want a self-contained, polyphonic string voice in 12HP.

SuperKar+ is a 12HP Eurorack voice module built on Karplus-Strong delay-feedback synthesis. It covers plucked and bowed strings, struck or blown pipes and tubes, and percussive textures. Attack, decay and damping interact to shape the character, and the voices need no external VCA or amplitude envelope.
The module is split into a Solo Voice and a Chord Voice, which can be played together or independently. Each has its own timbre switch (positive feedback for strings, negative for hollow tubes), level control and attack, decay and damping settings. Each voice is polyphonic up to 16 notes. The Chord Voice offers fifteen harmony settings and eight scale types, including smart harmonies. The Solo Voice adds glide, random per-note detune via CV and a pitch CV input of +/- 1 octave.
Control is via CV and trigger inputs for both voices, plus a 3.5mm TRS MIDI type A input that plays the Solo Voice polyphonically with velocity sensitivity. Audio inputs can excite the strings. Four output modes are available on OUT L and OUT R: wide stereo, narrow stereo, split voices and mono sum. A rear USB jack is used for firmware updates.
