AA.1 is a 4HP Eurorack module that raises guitar-level signals by 18 dB for modular inputs and lowers Eurorack-level signals by 18 dB for pedals, interfaces or other guitar-level gear. It suits players who combine guitar pedals or instruments with a modular system.

AA.1 works as a level-matching bridge between guitar gear and Eurorack. A stereo 1/4" input is amplified by +18 dB and sent to left and right 1/8" outputs, with the left output used for mono sources. In the other direction, left and right 1/8" inputs are attenuated by 18 dB and sent to left and right 1/4" outputs suited to guitar-level equipment.
Typical uses include patching a pedal into the effects send and return of a Magneto module, feeding a guitar or bass into a modular system for processing, or sending an instrument-level stereo master from the rack to a computer audio interface. This addresses the mismatch where Eurorack modules put out hot signals that can overload pedal or interface inputs, while modular audio inputs expect hot signals.
The module takes power from the Eurorack bus, drawing 10 mA from each of the +12V and -12V rails and nothing from +5V. It occupies 4 HP and needs 1.5 inches (38 mm) of rack depth. It is designed and built in the USA.
