The IXO22 is a desktop two-in, two-out USB audio interface in a full-metal casing. It has two combo inputs with microphone preamps, switchable phantom power, and one Hi-Z input for electric guitar or similar sources. Converters run at up to 24-bit/192 kHz, and the input dynamic range is listed at 106 dB.
Monitoring is handled in hardware with zero-latency direct monitoring that can be switched on and off, and the extra input allows a choice between mono and stereo direct monitoring. A Loopback function mixes the incoming signal with computer playback so both can be sent to streaming software. The headphone output has its own volume control, and there is a mute button.
The interface connects over USB-C (USB 2.0 high-speed) and draws power from the bus, with an optional external 5 V USB adaptor, which is not included. It supports ASIO, Core Audio and WDM drivers, and switches to class-compliant mode automatically when connected to an iPhone or iPad. Cubase AI, Cubasis LE and Steinberg Plus content are included as software.
