The IXO12 is a bus-powered desktop interface in a full-metal casing, with two inputs and two outputs and converters running up to 24-bit/192 kHz. Its combo input accepts a microphone, line source or Hi-Z instrument, and it offers phantom power, a headphone output and switchable zero-latency hardware monitoring. A mute button is provided as well.
A loopback function merges incoming audio with playback from a DAW or other software so the combined signal can be sent to streaming software. The interface supports ASIO, Core Audio and WDM drivers, and switches automatically to class-compliant mode when connected to an iOS device.
Connection is by USB-C using USB 2.0 high-speed, to Mac, Windows PC, iPhone or iPad. Power comes from the USB bus, or from an optional external 5 V USB adaptor, which is not included. Cubase AI, Cubasis LE and Steinberg Plus content are bundled. The model is listed as discontinued by the maker.
