XL-Desk
The XL-Desk is a 24-into-8 analogue mixing console with 20 channel strips, an 18-slot 500-series rack and four mix buses. It is aimed at tracking and mixing engineers who want analogue summing and monitoring in a DAW-based studio, without console-based DAW control or automation.

The XL-Desk is a compact analogue console built around 16 dual-input mono channels, which switch between a main input and a DAW return, plus 4 stereo channels. Channels 1–8 have VHD (Variable Harmonic Drive) mic preamps, and channels 9–16 are line level. Every channel has a direct output, a ±20 dB trim, a phase invert switch, a CUE stereo send and a 100 mm fader. The mono channels also have an insert point and a 500-rack insert. The four stereo channels have neither.
An 18-slot 500-series rack with its own power supply is built in. Slots 17 and 18 are hard wired to Mix A and ship loaded with an SSL stereo bus compressor module with a sidechain high-pass filter. Slots 1–16 connect to the rear panel through DB25 connectors, so the rack can be patched freely or used standalone. Four mix buses (A–D) each have a direct output and an insert. Buses B, C and D can sum into Mix A.
The monitoring section has three speaker sets plus a subwoofer output with bass management. It also has two foldback feeds with talkback, a built-in talkback microphone, and a listen mic input with an always-on compressor and its own output. Monitor sources include Mix A, an external input and a front-panel iJack input.
