Tempest Control Rack

The Tempest Control Rack is a 3RU enclosure that hosts the complete System T control software. It works as a stand-alone control interface for a System T installation, and with a Tempest Engine it becomes a self-contained mixer in a rack. It suits studios driven by production automation, where a traditional console is not needed.

In a studio, a fader tile and touchscreen can be built into furniture and linked to the unit through video and USB extension. For remote production, the rack plus a Tempest Engine and SSL Network I/O forms a portable flypack that takes up 4RU with a TE1 or 5RU with a TE2. It can be controlled remotely from other consoles or PC software. System T is compatible with EVS Cerebrum, Grass Valley Ignite, Kahuna, Ross Overdrive, Sony ELC and Viz Mosart automation systems.

The unit has dual power supplies and redundant network connections for the media and engine control networks. A further network connection serves other System T control surfaces or Tempest Control App software on any PC on the network. HDMI and DVI-D video outputs and front and rear USB ports handle monitor, keyboard, mouse and USB storage.
