SDI Embedder/De-Embedder
A broadcast audio bridge that converts between embedded SDI audio, Dante and MADI in both directions. It is aimed at broadcast facilities that need to move audio between SDI, IP and MADI infrastructure with redundancy.

The unit has eight 3G-SDI paths, each able to embed and de-embed, which together carry 16 audio channels. It bridges SDI to Dante and also connects SDI directly to MADI, so audio can pass between all three domains without an extra device in the chain.
Internal channel-by-channel routing allows individual audio channels to be placed freely between the SDI, Dante and MADI sides. Sample rate conversion is provided on the audio path to and from SDI, and AES connectivity is included.
For 24-hour broadcast use, the power supplies, MADI ports and Dante ports are all redundant. MADI is available over two optical connections and one coaxial input/output, and Dante is provided on dual ports. The unit belongs to the SSL Network I/O range used with System T broadcast systems, and a user guide and brochure are available for it.
