L650

The L650 is a digital live mixing console built around Optimal Core Processing and an AoIP-based I/O architecture. It runs at 96 kHz with 312 mix paths, which can be set up as channels, stem groups, auxes and masters, from mono up to 5.1. A 32-input, 36-output matrix has its own processing and can be split into four smaller matrices. Every matrix output has high and low pass filters, 4-band EQ, up to 2 seconds of delay and all-pass filters, plus two inserts.

The surface uses three wide fader banks for 36 faders, together with a knob-per-function Channel Control tile. A 19-inch multi-touch screen handles I/O configuration, layer management, automation, the effects rack and the channel and console overview views. Cutaways for external screens keep the sight line to the stage open. A tablet running the TaCo app, or external touchscreens running SOLSA, can add further touch control.

Local I/O consists of 16 mic/line inputs, 16 line outputs, 2 headphone/monitor outputs and AES/EBU. Connectivity includes redundant MADI, a standard Dante card, Blacklight II connectors and optional X-Light, with redundant power supplies. It shares its remote I/O, audio conversion and software with the other SSL Live consoles.
