The L450 sits between the L200 and the flagship L650 in the SSL Live range. It uses the same ergonomic layout as the L200, with a triple-wide fader tile arrangement, cutaways for external screens and a 19" multi-touch screen shared with the L550 Plus and L650. A TaCo APP tile takes the place of a Channel Control tile, and a dedicated tablet mount sits around the main screen.
The processing engine runs at 96 kHz and offers 856 inputs and 856 outputs with 240 mix paths. Paths can be set up as channels, stem groups, auxes and masters, from mono up to 5.1. A 32-input, 36-output matrix has its own processing and can be split into four smaller matrices. Every matrix output has high and low pass filters, 4-band EQ, 2 seconds of delay and all-pass filters, plus two inserts.
Local I/O comprises 16 mic/line inputs, 16 line outputs, 2 headphone/monitor outputs and 4 pairs of AES/EBU in and out with sample rate conversion. MADI is provided on coaxial and fibre ports, along with a separate optical FX loop port. Blacklight II connectors are standard, a Dante card is optional, and redundant X-Light connectors link the console to the stage. The console has redundant power supplies and runs SSL Live V5.0 software.
