The L350 Plus is one of six consoles in the SSL Live range. It runs the latest Optimal Core Processing, with 600 inputs, 600 outputs and 216 mix paths at 96 kHz. Paths can be allocated as channels, stem groups, auxes or masters, from mono up to 5.1, and every path has full processing. Insert effects have separate, dynamically allocated processing.
The surface has built-in local I/O, so it can work without a stagebox, particularly at front of house. Local connections are 16 mic/line inputs, 16 line outputs and two headphone/monitor outputs, plus four AES/EBU input pairs and four output pairs with variable sample rate conversion. The rear panel also carries MIDI, LTC, Wordclock and GP I/O connectors, and a second redundant power supply is fitted as standard.
For networking, the console has MADI ports in redundant or independent form, plus a separate optical MADI port that can serve as an FX loop for external processing such as Waves Multirack or a VST host. Options are a redundant pair of Blacklight II connectors, a Dante card and a redundant pair of X-Light connectors. All SSL Live consoles share the same software, audio engine and remote I/O, and V5.0 software adds Meyer Sound SpaceMap Go control, Blitzer and Sorcerer processing and Path Recall Safe.
