The Classic Vibe Duo-Sonic HS is a solid-body electric guitar with a compact poplar body and a short 24-inch (610 mm) scale length. The shorter scale and small body make it comfortable for smaller players of all ages. The neck is maple with a C-shape profile, a tinted gloss urethane finish, a bone nut and 21 narrow tall frets on a 9.5-inch radius.
Electronics are a Fender Designed alnico single-coil at the neck and an alnico humbucker at the bridge. A 3-position toggle selects bridge, bridge and neck together, or neck, and the controls are a master volume and a master tone. The hardtail bridge has six bent steel saddles and strings through the body, which gives stable intonation and easy restringing.
Styling follows a vintage theme with period-inspired headstock markings, nickel-plated hardware, vintage-style tuning machines and knurled flat-top knobs. The guitar is available in Desert Sand, Lake Placid Blue and Black, with maple or Indian laurel fingerboards depending on the finish. It ships with nickel-plated steel .009-.042 strings installed.
