The PQ provides two independent channels of five parametric bands each (LF, LMF, MF, MHF, HF), with wide frequency overlap so a problem area can be handled with two bands. Each band cuts or boosts by up to 20 dB, and a 1/4 Gain switch narrows that range to +/-5 dB for fine corrections. Stepped potentiometers with 41 detents make settings easy to recall.
Every band has a Q control and a button that switches between constant Q and proportional Q. In proportional mode the available gain falls from +/-20 dB at the narrowest bandwidth to +/-2.8 dB at the widest. Each band and each channel can be switched on and off.
The centre section has an Auto Bypass with an adjustable interval, which alternates between processed and original signal automatically for objective comparison. A Link function ties the band on/off and Q-mode buttons of both channels together. Audio runs through balanced XLR connections and the analogue stages operate at +/-60 V, with an internal linear power supply and toroidal transformer.
