Boom 2 is a battery-powered Bluetooth speaker built around a racetrack-shaped woofer and two tweeters in a 2.1 arrangement. Output is 60W as standard and goes up to 80W when BassUp 2.0 is switched on, which also boosts the bass. A customisable EQ is available for tuning the sound.
The speaker is rated IPX7 and floats; the waterproof cover has to be sealed tightly before it is exposed to water. Playtime is up to 24 hours at 50% volume with BassUp and the lights off. A built-in power bank with a 5W output can charge a phone. The body has a metal grille, a grooved integrated handle and seven preset light effects that follow the music.
It connects over Bluetooth 5.3 with SBC codec support and has a built-in microphone. There is no AUX input. Two units can be paired as a left/right TWS stereo pair, and PartyCast 2.0 links 100+ PartyCast-enabled speakers. Charging is over USB-C, and a wall charger is not supplied.
