The WH-XB910N is a closed, over-ear wireless headphone built around a 40mm driver and a bass duct in the housing, aimed at a heavy low-end sound. Dual Noise Sensor technology handles digital noise cancelling, and an ambient sound mode uses feedforward and feedback microphones to let outside sound in when needed. Adaptive Sound Control adjusts ambient settings by location and activity.
Sound can be shaped with EQ presets or a custom EQ saved in the companion app. DSEE restores high-frequency detail lost in compressed audio. Two built-in microphones with voice pickup processing handle calls, and the headphones support Google Assistant and Alexa, including an Alexa wake word. A touch panel on the ear cup controls tracks, volume and calls, and covering the housing with a hand lowers the music for quick conversation.
Connection is by Bluetooth, with multipoint pairing to two devices at once, Fast Pair for Android and Swift Pair for Windows 10. A wired connection via a 3.5mm cable is possible, including passive operation. The ear cups swivel to fold into the supplied carry case, and the headphones are certified for 360 Reality Audio.
