LinkBuds use a 12mm ring-type driver with an open centre, so music, calls and surrounding sounds can be heard together. Each earbud weighs about 4 g, and the housing is shaped from ear-shape data for a stable fit. Five sizes of fitting supporter are included.
Sound is handled by the Integrated Processor V1, with DSEE restoring detail in compressed tracks. Call quality relies on precise voice pickup and an AI-trained noise reduction algorithm. Smart features include Wide Area Tap, Speak-to-Chat, Adaptive Volume Control, scene-based listening, Wear to Play and Quick Access. Voice control works with Google Assistant and Alexa.
The earbuds connect over Bluetooth with simultaneous transmission to both ears and support multipoint connection to two devices. Google Fast Pair and Windows Swift Pair simplify pairing. Battery life is 5.5 hours per charge, with 12 more hours in the case, and the earbuds carry an IPX4 rating. Charging is by USB-C.
