Flow Studio is a hardware controller for the Flow Mixing Suite plug-in. Each of its five touch-sensitive Analog Feel knobs is a macro that adjusts several plug-in parameters at once, so a dry recording can be shaped into a rough mix quickly. A larger Omni Knob scrolls lists and handles functions such as input gain and output volume. A 4.3-inch IPS display shows metering, EQ curves, gain reduction, reverb tails and mic positions, and RGB LEDs change colour with the active view.
Three modes cover different jobs. DAW Mode controls volume, pan, solo/mute, six sends and track select without mapping. Flow Mode uses the macro knobs on signal chains called Flows. Detail Mode gives direct access to the parameters of supported Softube plug-ins. Users can create, save and share their own Flows. The unit works with Flow Mastering Suite only if all plug-ins in at least one mastering Flow are owned.
The unit connects to the computer over USB-C and works with Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, FL Studio and other major DAWs. It is the same size as Console 1 Channel Mk III and Fader Mk III, and can be mounted on the Single Unit Stand or on a VESA mount. It includes 25 perpetual Softube plug-ins and needs no subscription.
