The Pulsar HDMI is a 2 m Ultra High Speed HDMI 2.1 cable with active circuitry built in. Its Active Noise Cancellation II stage picks up EMI/RFI in the data signal and generates an inverted signal to cancel it. The maker states a noise reduction of up to 40dB (100x) compared with standard filtering. A separate stage reduces jitter at the conversion step, which is meant to improve contrast, colour accuracy and audio clarity.
The cable carries 48Gbps of bandwidth and the HDMI 2.1 feature set: Dynamic HDR, Dolby Vision, 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz video, VRR, ALLM and eARC. Transient Voltage Suppression is built in to protect connected equipment from surges, lightning strikes and electrostatic discharge. The cable uses triple-shield construction with TPE insulation.
It has an HDMI male connector at each end and is backwards compatible with earlier HDMI versions. It is a plug-and-play replacement for an ordinary HDMI cable between a source and a display or AV processor.
