Dual-headed USB cable that carries audio data and power on separate leads, so the data signal is kept apart from USB power noise. It is meant for connecting a computer to a USB DAC, sound card or interface in a hi-fi chain, and comes in USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 'B' versions.

Gemini 3.0 is a USB cable with two connectors at the computer end. One carries only the audio data pair and the other carries only 5V power and ground. Splitting them keeps the sensitive data link away from power-line interference, which standard single-lead USB cables do not do. The power lead uses a heavier 12AWG conductor, and the data lead is built to the 90 ohm USB impedance standard.
The cable uses iFi FINAL USB connectors, machined from solid aluminium with gold-plated contacts, intended to shield radio-frequency noise from end to end. Conductors are OFHC copper-silver matrix for data and OFHC copper for power, with quadruple shielding on the data lead and minimum-inductance parallel construction on both. It is offered in USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 'B' connector versions and in 0.7 m and 1.5 m lengths.
To set it up, plug the USB A audio connector and the USB A power connector into two USB ports on the computer, then plug the USB B connector into the DAC, sound card or interface. It comes with a user manual and a 12-month warranty.
