WH20

The WH20 is a dynamic headset microphone built for hands-free voice pickup. It has a lightweight wireframe and an elastic headband that can be adjusted for a secure fit, and a small-diameter attached cable that is reinforced against breakage. The microphone boom collapses for storage and transport.

Its cardioid (unidirectional) pickup pattern gives more gain before feedback and reduces ambient noise and other unwanted sound sources. The frequency response is smooth and natural, comparable to good dynamic hand-held vocal microphones. It includes a voice-frequency presence peak and a low-frequency roll-off that offsets the proximity effect during close-talk use. A high input clipping level avoids overload distortion, and the microphone is specified as reliable at temperature and humidity extremes.

The WH20 is offered in wired and wireless configurations with different connectors: a 3-pin XLR, or a 6.3 mm TQG (TA4F, 4-pin mini) for use with wireless bodypacks. A foam windscreen and a clothing clip are supplied.
