The MX415DUAL/C is a 15-inch gooseneck microphone built around two cardioid cartridges in a low-profile housing. Each cartridge is routed to a separate output preamp, which gives two simultaneous audio feeds of the same speech. This suits installations where a single point of failure is not acceptable.
The single-flex gooseneck makes it easy to position the capsule head. The microphone mounts on a table, lectern, podium or similar surface, and a set of accessories is supplied to cover those placement options. Commshield technology, part of the Microflex range, is built in to reject RF interference from mobile devices so that the speech stays clear.
The dual-output design lets the two feeds go to separate downstream inputs. Shure lists the ANI4IN and ANI22 audio network interfaces as related products, and the MX412, MX418 and MX424 Microflex gooseneck models as comparable ones.
