MX405
The MX405 is a 12.7 cm (5 inch) modular gooseneck microphone from the Microflex line, sold as a bare gooseneck without a preamp. It suits installations in boardrooms, lecterns and conference tables where a low-profile mic is needed.

The MX405 is a short, low-profile gooseneck microphone measuring 5 inches (12.7 cm). It is part of a modular system: the gooseneck is chosen with a status indicator and a capsule, and then paired with a separate preamplifier or base. It is built with a wide dynamic range and a smooth frequency response, and uses CommShield technology to filter RF interference.
The status indicator is either a bi-colour LED at the bottom of the gooseneck or a red light ring at the top. The gooseneck can be ordered without a capsule or with a cardioid or supercardioid one. Several cartridges and windscreens are listed as optional accessories, and a foam windscreen is supplied.
The microphone connects through a 6-pin modular connector to a preamp or base. Compatible options include the MX400DP desktop base, the MX400SMP surface mount preamp, the MX890 wireless desktop base, and the MXW8 and ULXD8 wireless desktop bases. An A400MB mute button can add touch-sensitive muting.
