MX202

The MX202 is part of the Microflex overhead range of condenser microphones. Each unit has a flexible four-inch gooseneck and a 30-foot cable, and it takes interchangeable cartridges so the polar pattern can be matched to the application. Cardioid, supercardioid and mini-shotgun cartridges are offered, and the model-number suffix shows which one is fitted: C for cardioid, S for supercardioid, N for none.
The output is balanced and transformerless, which helps resist noise over long cable runs. The cartridge has high sensitivity and a wide frequency response, and the design keeps RF interference and electromagnetic hum low. It is available in black or bright-white finishes meant to blend into its surroundings.
Preamp options cover ceiling installation and stand use: a plate-mount preamp for mounting in a surface, or an in-line preamp for stands. Versions with an in-line preamp ship with a stand-mount adapter for portable use. Connector options listed are 3-pin XLR, screw terminals and TQG (TA4F, 4-pin mini).
