The BRH50M is a supra-aural headset with closed-back earcups and a low-profile design meant for use on camera. The headband adjusts fully for a comfortable, ergonomic fit, and both earcups carry audio, so it works as a dual-sided monitoring headset.
The boom carries a dynamic microphone with a supercardioid polar pattern, tuned for clear, natural voice pickup in broadcast use. The boom pivots through 270 degrees, so it can be positioned precisely for wear on either the left or right side. Ear pads and the microphone windscreen can be replaced by the user, which extends the service life of the headset.
A single-side, detachable cable ends in 3-pin XLR and 1/4" connectors and is reinforced with Kevlar for added durability. Alternative cable assemblies with Neutrik connectors are available as accessories, including 6.3 mm, male XLR, female XLR and 5-pin XLR versions. Intended uses include studio production, theater production, corporate event production, electronic field production, conferencing and intercom.
