The HMD 300 PRO is a closed-back dynamic headset for broadcasting and live production. Viscoelastic earpads and padded headband spread the contact pressure, and the headband has a recess for the fontanelle area. The closed earcups give up to 32 dB of passive noise attenuation. The earcups fold for storage.
A supercardioid dynamic microphone handles speech and can be worn on either the left or right side. Its capsule is mounted flexibly and the coiled cable sits directly below the earcup, which reduces structure-borne noise. The headphone sound is tuned for linear, speech-oriented reproduction. ActiveGard can be switched on to limit peaks above 110 dB SPL, while maximum level with it off is 123 dB SPL at 1 kHz.
The headset ships without a connection cable. It follows Sennheiser's modular concept, so cables of the 26-II series fit, and several cable variants are listed as accessories. A wind and pop screen is included. A custom logo can be applied to the side on request through the maker's sales contacts.
