HD 579

The HD 579 is a wired, full-size circumaural headphone designed for listening at home. It is positioned as delivering near-audiophile sound quality, and the large ear cups enclose the ear rather than resting on it.

Comfort is a stated focus: the ear cups are large and the ear pads are soft and replaceable, so worn pads can be swapped without replacing the headphones. Compatible spare parts and accessories listed for the HD 500 family include a 3 m cable with a 6.3 mm plug, a 4.4 mm balanced audio cable, a boom arm microphone and velour earpads with a warmer tuning.

The manufacturer lists the HD 579 under article number 506830. It is marked as end of life and is no longer sold directly on the maker's site, though accessories and spare parts remain listed. Product documentation is offered for download in many languages.
