The EW 100 G4-845-S-1G8 is a complete wireless vocal set. It pairs a lightweight aluminium SKM 100 G4-S handheld transmitter, fitted with a dynamic supercardioid MMD 845-1 capsule and an integrated mute switch, with an EM 100 G4 half-rack true diversity receiver in a full-metal housing. The receiver has an LCD display for control, and the transmitter and receiver are synchronised wirelessly over infrared.
The system tunes across up to 42 MHz of bandwidth with 1680 selectable frequencies in the UHF range, and offers up to 20 compatible channels. A linking function allocates frequencies quickly for up to 12 receivers operating together. Transmission range is up to 100 m (300 ft), with RF output power up to 30 mW depending on country regulations. This 1G8 variant covers 1785 to 1800 MHz. Battery life is typically 8 hours.
The receiver provides an unbalanced 6.3 mm jack audio output at +12 dBu. The set includes a rackmount kit, an RJ 10 linking cable, a microphone clamp and two rod antennas. Other capsules in the e 835, e 845, e 865, e 935 and e 945 families are listed as compatible.
