The EW 100 G4 835-S pairs an EM 100 G4 true diversity receiver with an SKM 100 G4-S handheld transmitter fitted with an MMD 835-1 dynamic capsule. The transmitter has an aluminium body and an integrated mute switch. The receiver is a half-rack unit in a metal housing with an LCD display for control.
The transmitter and receiver are synchronised by infrared. A linking function speeds up frequency allocation when several systems run together, with up to 12 receivers supported. Each system offers up to 20 compatible channels and up to 42 MHz of tuning bandwidth with 1680 selectable frequencies in the UHF range. Transmission range is up to 100 m (300 ft), and RF output power reaches up to 30 mW depending on national regulations. The listed 1G8 variant uses the 1785 – 1800 MHz range.
The receiver outputs audio on an unbalanced 6.3 mm jack socket. The transmitter runs on two AA batteries for typically 8 hours. A rackmount set, microphone clamp, power supply and two rod antennas are included.
