V7 X

The V7 X is a dynamic microphone tuned for instruments, built around the DMC7 X capsule. It is the instrument-oriented sibling of the vocal-focused V7 and uses the same aluminium moving coil and neodymium magnet technology, with the capsule voiced for instrument sources. Suggested uses include acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass cabinets, orchestra and strings, piano, woodwind, harmonica, brass, percussion, snare, toms and vocals.

The supercardioid pattern helps separate an instrument from other sources on stage, reducing bleed and allowing high gain before feedback. A patented internal capsule suspension isolates the capsule from mechanical vibration, giving low handling noise and rumble. A red internal windscreen reduces wind noise, and a black one is supplied as an alternative. The spring-steel mesh grille is dent-resistant, and its bevelled edge stops the microphone rolling when placed on an amp or stage floor.

The body is a zinc alloy chassis, and the microphone connects through a gold-plated 3-pin male XLR connector. It needs a mic preamp or an audio interface with preamps to connect to a computer. A mic clip, thread adapter, carry bag, sE logo sticker and user manual are included.
