sE8 Omni
The sE8 omni is a small-diaphragm true condensor microphone with an omnidirectional pattern, aimed at acoustic instruments, orchestral and choir recording, drum overheads and room miking. It has switchable pads and low-cut filters and an all-metal body.

The sE8 omni is a pencil-style condenser microphone with a handmade 1/2" true condenser capsule that uses an ultra-thin gold-sputtered diaphragm. The capsule is tuned individually at the maker's own factory. The circuit is Class A, transformerless and built without integrated circuits.
Two switches shape the signal. A -10 dB / -20 dB pad gives headroom for loud sources such as brass, timpani and drums. A low-cut filter at 80 Hz or 160 Hz reduces low-frequency noise and footfall rumble and can offset proximity effect in close miking. The body is all metal with a gold-plated 3-pin XLR connector.
The mic connects over balanced XLR and runs on 48 V phantom power. The capsule is interchangeable with the sE8 cardioide capsule. Factory-matched pairs are hand-selected and measured in an anechoic chamber, and the pair version is supplied with a stereo bar, windscreens, clips and a metal case.
