HB52

The HB52 is a handheld dynamic microphone designed for harmonica and blues harp. It was developed jointly by HOHNER and sE Electronics, with input from professional harp players, and uses a compact capsule that responds closely to hand technique. The body is small enough to hold and cup comfortably for long periods.

A volume control with a Bourns potentiometer and a knurled, diamond-pattern chrome knob sits on the body; it can be disabled internally if not wanted. The output level is high and the impedance is 45 kOhm, which suits direct connection to amplifiers without impedance converters, boost pedals or effects pedals. The housing is fully metal and built for touring use.

Connection is through a gold-plated XLR socket rather than a fixed cable, a 1/4 inch jack or a screw-on connector. The XLR has an internal locking mechanism that can be turned off, as described in the user manual. The package includes a faux-leather pouch, a logo sticker, a microfibre cloth and the manual with warranty card.
