The WiTalk9 SE is a set of wireless intercom headsets that talk to each other in full duplex, so nobody has to press a button to speak. The system works without a hub: it starts with a default master headset, but any headset can be made master by holding the mute button for 5 seconds and re-pairing. Two masters can be set up to form two independent groups, which cannot talk to each other.
A dual-antenna design with automatic frequency hopping keeps the link stable at up to 350 m. The ClearTalk noise cancellation uses a three-microphone array with 360° coverage and offers light and strong modes, while automatic gain control keeps speech usable in surroundings of 120 dB SPL. The transmission is DECT-based with encryption, and the headsets are rated IPX5.
Two sets can be cascaded with a LINK cable to reach 9 users. The LINK port also lets any headset connect to a phone or computer for online meetings, to a control board for monitoring, or to a small external earpiece. The Saramonic app, connected over USB-C, handles battery checks, muting, one-to-one talks, frequency hopping via phone GPS and firmware updates.
