The TC-NEO is a pocket-sized timecode generator built around a high-precision TCXO oscillator rated at ±0.05 ppm. It produces SMPTE-12M LTC or audio timecode and supports master, slave and slave-lock modes, jam sync, custom start timecodes and a wide range of frame rates from 23.98 to 60 fps, including drop-frame variants. A built-in reference microphone records ambient audio on one channel while timecode occupies the other.
Units can be synced wirelessly with each other without an app, or over Bluetooth through the Saramonic System App, which handles up to 48 units at a tested range of about 40 m in open space. It can also act as the master source for Saramonic K9 transmitters. For wired setups, a 3.5 mm TRS line in/out and USB-C are used, and more than 10 optional cables cover connectors such as LEMO 5-pin, BNC, DIN and Sony Multi-Port.
A 1.1-inch OLED display shows sync status, battery level and frame rate, and a textured dial is used for settings. Runtime is up to 22 hours with the screen on, with pass-through charging over USB-C. The kit version adds a charging case for three units that extends runtime to as much as 48 hours and can switch all three displays into a synchronised clock mode. Silicone cases come in 8 colours for identifying groups.
