The SR-UM10-M1 is a clip-on lavalier microphone built around an omnidirectional capsule. It is aimed at speech recording, where it is intended to give a clear, intelligible voice signal.
The microphone is designed to pair with Saramonic wireless systems, including the UwMic9, UwMic10, UwMic15 and VmicLink5. It connects through a 3.5 mm gold-plated plug with a locking mechanism, which keeps the cable seated in the transmitter during use.
A metal lapel clip holds the mic on clothing, and a foam windscreen is included to reduce plosives and environmental noise. The manufacturer backs it with a 2-year global warranty, under which defective units are replaced rather than repaired.
