The Saramonic Mix is a wireless audio kit with two transmitters and a receiver. Each transmitter has a Mic In port for a wired lavalier microphone, and the receiver has a Line In for other audio sources over a 3.5 mm cable. An adaptive frequency-hopping chip is used to resist interference, and the link is encrypted with AES 128-bit.
Automatic gain control keeps the level of both transmitters balanced by lowering gain on loud sounds and raising it on quiet ones, while an automatic limiter trims signal that exceeds a set threshold to avoid distortion. Latency is 7.0 ms for audio-video sync, and dual monitoring allows quick level checks.
Three channel modes are available: stereo (each transmitter on its own channel), mono (both combined into one output) and mono with a safety track recorded at -12 dB, which needs post-processing to separate the tracks. The system works with cameras, USB-C and Lightning smartphones, computers and some action cameras (DJI Action 4, DJI Osmo Pocket 3). Firmware updates and receiver control are handled through the Saramonic app, and pairing is done with the power buttons.
