The Blink 800 is a small, lightweight wireless lavalier system working in the 5.8 GHz band. It pairs a transmitter with a camera-mountable receiver and is operated without any menus or settings: switch it on and start recording. The system changes channels automatically to avoid static noise and dropouts, with a wireless output power of 10 mW.
A DK3 lavalier microphone is included. It comes with a metal and foam windscreen for indoor use and two furry windscreens for outdoor use. Both units contain integrated lithium-ion batteries rated for about 6 hours of runtime. They can be powered while in use or recharged in the field from portable USB battery packs.
The receiver connects to a camera or recorder through a 3.5mm output. The receiver adapter is offered in three versions: 3.5mm TRS, 635 and XLR. The product carries a 2-year global warranty, under which defective units are replaced rather than repaired.
